I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Former two-time unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really going ahead.
